Karel Friess participated at the International Conference on Chemical Technology, which was held between 25.- 27.4. 2016 in Mikulov (Czech Republic). He presented a work entitled “Mixed matrix membranes with ex-situ controlled embedding of tailor-made nano-additives for effective biogas (CO2/CH4) separation”.
In the period from 20 to 23 March 2016, Karel was invited by professor Ingo Pinnau to KAUST (King Abdullah University for Science and Technology http://kaust.edu.sa/ )He introduced to the audience our work via lecture titled Advances in mixed matrix membranes for gas separation: Tunable tailor-made nanoparticles and ionic liquids. During a visit, he also met and right with each other colleagues from the Department (Klaus-Viktor Peinemann, Yu Han, Bader Ghanem and Naveen Khashab). His stay was short but very interesting.
New Ph.D. student, Martina Klepic from Croatia, joined our laboratory group.
Our lab was visited by Korean visitors – prof Kew Ho Lee, President of KRICT; Chong Hak Chae, Ph.D. Director of Korea Research & Innovation Centre Europe; Young-Sik jung, Ph.D., Head of Global R&D Center for Neglected Diseases; and Eunmi Park, Division of Policy and Cooperation.
Our group and family members had the first weekend teambuilding in Jáchymov. We spent this snowy weekend hiking at surrounding hills.
Daniel, Kryštof and Marek participated at CHISA 2015 in Hotel Jezerka, SEČ. They presented three poster and one oral presentation.
Dr. Rahul Anantharaman and Dr. Simon Roussanaly (SINTEF Energy) from Norway visited our laboratory in Prague.
Petr participated at student conference hold in Stráž pod Ralskem, which was organised by Czech membrane platform, Mega and Membrain. Peter presented his for aimed to sorption of vapours in biopolymers. His oral presentation was awarded 2nd place.
Karel participated on 7th International Conference on Nanomaterials – Research & Application with a presentation.
Karel Friess and Marek Lanč attended Euromembrane conference 2015 in Aachen (Germany) from 6 to 10 September. They presesented two oral and one poster presentations. Marek recieved travel award from European membrane society.
