Great news from the M3-S conference!

Daniel is on a roll!
A prestigious travel grant by NAWA was granted to Daniel, that made it possible for him to attend the M3-S conference and give a scientific presentation.
The conference was held in Toruń (Poland) and organized by the group of prof. Kujawski and the Polish Membrane Society.
For his talk, he got awarded by the Young Researcher Award provided by Clean Technologies Journal from it’s chief Editor Patricia Luis Alconero!
His presentation included results of the newly-estabilished cooperation between our group at UCT and the TVT group at FAU Erlangen in Germany!

Accelerating in international cooperations: FAU-UCT project entitled BTHA-AP-2025-22: “Novel precisely tunable 2D-membranes for targeted liquid separation via ultrafiltration”

We are pleased to announce that in cooperation with colleagues from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) in Erlangen, we will address the joint FAU-UCT project entitled BTHA-AP-2025-22: “Novel precisely tunable 2D-membranes for targeted liquid separation via ultrafiltration”, which has received the maximum possible funding of 5 thousand Euros from BTHA as part of the call for support of Czech-Bavarian academic projects in 2025 (https://www.btha.cz/cs/granty/akademicke-projekty).
The project is planned for the period from June to November 2025.

Dan attended the 34th meeting of the North American Membrane Society (NAMS)

Dan attended the 34th meeting of the North American Membrane Society (NAMS) in Nashville, Tennessee, May 17-21, 2025, with the poster “A Novel Possible Application for 2D Carbon-Based Membranes in the Ultrafiltration Process.”
His work summarized the collaboration with the FAU Erlangen, Germany, where he spent one year as the Bayern-Czech BTHA fellowship awardee.

A new cooperation with Naples

Karel recently visited Prof. G. Mensitieri’s research group at the University of Naples Federico II.
He discussed possible future cooperation between our research groups in the field of gas separation
via membranes and the modeling of such processes.
