A Barrande Fellowship holder student will join our group for a month long Traineeship!

Good news! Our group will host a visiting Ph.D. candidate from France for a month!

Meet Masheer, a Ph.D. student from the Laboratoire SOFTMAT – Université de Toulouse, France. During his stay, his work will be focused on testing his membranes that were prepared in Toulouse in our group and examining their gas permeation properties for CO2 separation. His membranes are amine-functionalised polymeric and ionogel membranes which are known for their CO2 capture.

His research stay was made possible by the Barrande Fellowship, the Czech-French Doctoral Mobility Program.

Warm welcome to our newest member!

Welcome Dr. Jaladhi S. Trivedi, our newest postdoc who joined our group in October 2026 thanks to a MSCA Scholarship.

His role in our group in the upcoming two years will be the preparation and application Sustainable Materials for Advanced Removal of Toxic Contaminants and Urban Pollutants (Smart Capture).

About Us

The membrane separation processes (MSPs) belong to modern technologically important separation methods. In comparison with conventional separation techniques, MSPs constitute a low-cost, less energy-consuming and environmentally friendly alternative.
