Warm welcome to our newest member!

Welcome Dr. Sabarish Radoor, our newest postdoc who joined our group in September 2026 thanks to a MSCA Scholarship. His role in our group in the upcoming two years will be the preparation and application of Janus membranes for liquid separation processes.

Two of our group members attended the 3rd International Congress on Separation and Purification Technology in Spain!

Karel and Saeed attended and gave presentations at the 3rd International Congress on Separation and Purification Technology (ISPT 2026) – held in Sitges, Spain.

This internatonal conference was held between 6-9 September 2026, and is one of the most well-known and biggest conferences in the field of separation processes.

Saeed not only presented but was also the chairman for the Gas Purification session. His talk was focused mostly on introducing novel 3D COF materials and their application within MMM’s.

On the other hand, Karel gave an interesting talk about polysulfone based membranes, which were further on modified by adding magnetic MOF particles.

Dániel published his third first author article – collaborations paying off!

Daniel just published his third 1st author article ”Investigation of 2D-carbon-based membranes with adjustable pores for aqueous low-pressure ultrafiltration” at the Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering (Q1, IF 7.5).

The results used in this work were mainly achieved during his BTHA 1 year-long stay at FAU-TVT in Germany in the group of prof. Kaspereit.

Amazing job, a clear example when collaborations pay off big time!

About Us

The membrane separation processes (MSPs) belong to modern technologically important separation methods. In comparison with conventional separation techniques, MSPs constitute a low-cost, less energy-consuming and environmentally friendly alternative.
