The aim of their friendly visit was to discuss options for a possible future cooperation between our groups in membrane separation processes.
Thank you for your visit!
Today Dániel handed in his dissertation work with the title ,,New nanostructured carbon nanotubes-based composite membranes for selective gas separation”.
With this the final countdown begins for his defence, scheduled to take place at the end of April / May.
We think that it is mandatory to share knowledge to younger generations, as it is the key for keeping the pace with our modern world.
Therefore, we decided to participate in the national ,,Poznej vědu v akci” (Meet science in action) event that aims to motivate and also educate high school students to pursue an academic title in Science.

The topic we picked was called ,,Polymeric membranes, the future of separation processes” with which we spent 3 days demonstrating the significance of such research. Each day included a brief introduction of our faculty and 4 sections regarding the topic: polymeric membrane preparation via NIPS/TIPS methods, characterisation by contact angle and roughness measurements and in the end a brief overview over gas separation, pervaporation and MOFs as one of the most novel materials.

Thank you for choosing our group and we are looking forward to seeing you again next year!
