NCHU scholarship was granted to Jana to attend their Summer Camp 2025 in Taiwan!

Amazing news! Jana became a NCHU (National Chung Hsing University) scholarship holder!

Thanks to this scholarship, she had the opportunity to attend their annual Summer Camp and spend two unforgettable weeks in Taiwan.

This summer camp included various lab sessions, presentations by students and experts from the field, learning more about asian culture and also networking while making new friends and connections in the world of membranes.

You can find a video summary of this camp under this link and more information under this link.

Dan published his second 1st author paper at the Journal of Separation and Purification Technology

Congratulations to Dan and all co-authors! Our invented concept of the GO-SWCNT platform for membranes has been further tuned by adding an inorganic additive and published in the ,,Special Issue of the conference EuroMembrane 2024 – Membrane Processes Help Solving Today’s Issues” at the Journal Separation and Purification Technology!

Second mobility during our FAU-UCT project BTHA-AP-2025-22: Johannes from FAU-TVT visited our lab in Prague

More updates from our recently acquired project with Germany! BTHA-AP-2025-22: In July 2025, Johannes Wieczorek from FAU-TVT Erlangen spent 3 days at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Department of Physical Chemistry visiting our lab.

This meeting was focused on learning more about the membrane synthesis, characterization and writing our joint article based on our results.

We also had the chance to visit the group of prof. Z. Sofer from the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, with whom we are cooperating with.

Until November 2025, there will be 2 more mobilities included in this project, funded by the BTHA organisation

First mobility of our new cooperation with the University of Naples Federico II!

Last week, prof. G. Scherillo visited our researcher group and discussed the upcoming tasks in combining our expertise in the field of membranes, and also the mobility options for exchange students in both ways.
He also visited our college, Dr. Z. Hrdlicka from the Department of Polymers, to discuss options how to investigate the mechanical properties of our membranes.
We are looking forward for accelerating this fruitful cooperation by sending our students to Naples and hosting Italian students at our institute next year.
